What You Will Be DoingThis position provides technical support to the Statewide Payroll Services section for the Division of Finance. Duties include processing routine personnel and payroll documents and interpreting and applying collective bargaining agreements, statutes, and personnel rules. Lead‑level authority is assigned for decision making.

The Working Environment You Can ExpectYou will work on the 8th floor of the State Office Building in downtown Juneau, near coffee shops, restaurants, and nature trails.
Who We Are Looking For- Reading Comprehension:

Minimum education:
Graduation from high school or equivalent.
Minimum experience:
Six months of advanced clerical experience. Six months of postsecondary education (16 semester hours or 24 quarter hours from an accredited college or university) may substitute for the specific experience.
High school graduation “equivalent” includes one of the following: G.E.D.; completion of a basic adult education course of 480 class hours; six months of work experience performing office or clerical support duties; twelve months of routine office or clerical support tasks; highest grade of school completed plus any work experience totaling 12 years or more; or acceptance for admission in full standing by an accredited college or university.
