Our College Internship program at the DOT IT Services team gives interested tech‑savvy college students an opportunity to dive into the field of professional IT customer service. Interns will inventory, image, and wipe computers, learn our IT ticketing system, and help solve coworkers’ computer troubles. The team provides support to Department of Transportation & Public Facilities users via phone, email, and instant messaging, helping to Keep Alaska Moving.

- College Intern 1 Requirements: Currently accepted, enrolled in an accredited college, at least six credit hours per semester (eight per quarter). Academic transcripts or tuition billings may serve as proof of enrollment.
- College Intern 2 Requirements: Same enrollment requirement as Intern 1; cumulative GPA 2.0 or higher; completed training as Intern 1 or 24 semester (36 quarter) coursework; academic transcripts may serve as proof of enrollment.
- College Intern 3 Requirements: Requires a baccalaureate degree program, enrollment, GPA 2.0 or higher, completed training as Intern 2 or 56 semester (84 quarter) coursework, and enrollment in upper‑division classes in a declared major related to the duties.
- College Intern 4 Requirements: Requires a baccalaureate degree program, enrollment, GPA 2.0 or higher, completed training as Intern 3 or 88 semester (132 quarter) coursework with at least 12 semester (16 quarter) upper‑division major courses directly related to duties.
