Office Assistant 1

This position is open to Alaska Residents only. You must meet this requirement to be considered for this position. This position is based on-site at our Juneau Headquarters, located in the State Office Building in downtown Juneau, Alaska.

As an Office Assistant 1, you'll play a vital role in keeping the Division's workflow efficient, accurate, and compliant with state procedures, helping our team deliver lending services that strengthen Alaska's economic future.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greet visitors and assist borrowers, vendors, and agency partners with basic inquiries.
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls while providing courteous, accurate information to the public and internal staff.
  • Scan, file, and maintain loan documents, correspondence, and records in both physical and electronic formats.
  • Ensure documents are properly labeled, organized, and stored in accordance with the division's retention policies.
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail; prepare outgoing and certified mailings.
