This position is based on-site at our Juneau Headquarters, located in the State Office Building in downtown Juneau, Alaska.
As an Office Assistant 1, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the Division’s workflow efficient, accurate, and compliant with state procedures, helping our team deliver lending services that strengthen Alaska’s economic future.
Key Responsibilities- Greet visitors and assist borrowers, vendors, and agency partners with basic inquiries.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls while providing courteous, accurate information to the public and internal staff.
- Scan, file, and maintain loan documents, correspondence, and records in both physical and electronic formats.
- Ensure documents are properly labeled, organized, and stored in accordance with the division's retention policies.
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail; prepare outgoing and certified mailings.

Wage InformationEffective July 1, 2026, the wage for this position increased by 3%. The wage listed in this job posting reflects the increase.
Education and EligibilityHigh school diploma or G.E.D.; or Acceptance in full standing by an accredited college; or A Career Readiness Certificate with ACT Work Keys scores of skill level 3 or higher in Graphic Literacy, Applied Math, and Workplace Documents.
Some positions require operating a state vehicle, requiring a valid driver's license and being 18 years of age or older on or before the first day of employment.
