Job PurposeAs an Office Assistant 2, you will maintain the Division’s workflow, ensuring it is efficient, accurate, and compliant with state procedures while supporting lending services that strengthen Alaska’s economy.
Responsibilities- Assist with basic accounting tasks and inventory tracking.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls, providing courteous and accurate information.
- Scan, file, and maintain loan documents, correspondence, and records in both physical and electronic formats.
- Ensure documents are properly labeled, organized, and stored in accordance with Division retention policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external visitors, prospective, past, and present borrowers, and board members.
- Attention to Detail
- Writing (correct English grammar, punctuation, spelling; clear and organized communication)
- Oral Communication (effective presentations and attentive listening)
- Conscientiousness (high effort, strong commitment to work)
- Customer Service (meeting client needs and providing quality assistance)
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience that includes clerical tasks such as greeting clients, answering phones, typing, filing, sorting mail, entering data, receiving payments, making change, or maintaining logs.

College education may substitute for experience—3 semester hours (or 4 quarter hours) equate to one month of experience. - Special
Note:
"High school diploma equivalent" includes a GED, completion of an accredited college from a university, or 12 years of experience equivalent to high school plus volunteer work.
Some positions may require a regular driver’s license and a minimum age of 18.
Some positions may require typing skill.
Interview Documentation Required- Three recent performance evaluations or professional letters of recommendation.
- Three current professional references, two of which have had supervisory responsibility, including phone numbers and email addresses.
- University transcripts if using education to meet qualifications.
