Position Overview
Vocational Rehabilitation Assistant 1/2 (General Government Unit, Range 11/13) in Juneau, Alaska. May be relocated within state as needed. This recruitment is exempt from the Hiring Freeze. No cover letter required.
Mission, Values, and CultureProvide paraprofessional administrative and technical support to counselors and evaluators, focusing on vocational rehabilitation services for individuals with disabilities, helping them obtain and maintain competitive employment.
Job Responsibilities• Assist clients by scheduling appointments, conducting in‑office meetings, soliciting information, and maintaining detailed records.
• Help purchase vocational services and equipment for clients.
• Maintain current knowledge of vocational rehabilitation services, employment opportunities, medical resources, training and education opportunities, and related subjects.
• Perform routine administrative tasks such as filing, typing, data entry, recording and managing documents.

Applicants must be residents of Alaska. Must meet the Alaska Residency Requirements. This position is flexibly staffed; selected candidate may start at Level 1 and later be promoted to Level 2.
