The General Superintendent reports directly to the Project Manager and is responsible for managing and executing full cycle construction projects. This position will provide oversight and direction to discipline supervisors and site teams with all mechanical and civil activities. The General Superintendent will also coordinate and analyze the performance of subcontractors to ensure work is completed as planned.

- Field Operations Oversite: Manage daily field operations for multiple projects, ensuring compliance with contact documents, blueprints, and safety standards.
- Field Leadership: Manages and mentors onsite discipline superintendents, foreman and crew leaders across multiple job sites.
- Scheduling & Resource Management: Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials ensuring optimal productivity and adjusting schedules as needed.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Direct subcontractors and resolve onsite issues or trade conflicts to maintain productivity.

Collaboration:
Acts as the primary liaison between project managers, subcontractors and clients to align goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or Equivalent
- Five (10) years Mechanical and Civil experience; industrial industry preferred
- Current and valid driver’s license, with clean driving record required
- North Slope Training Certification “NSTC” required
- Take and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Take and pass a Fit for Duty Examination.
- Construction Operations: Extensive understanding of diverse building processes, trade practices, and field operations.
- Safety & Compliance: Expert-level knowledge of OSHA regulations, building codes, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Blueprint Literacy: Ability to read, interpret, and translate complex blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
- Project Controls: Knowledge of scheduling software, budgeting principles, and resource allocation to prevent cost overruns.
- Leadership & Team Building: Ability to manage, mentor, and motivate large teams of supervisors, subcontractors, and laborers.
- Problem-Solving: Capacity to make rapid, informed decisions to troubleshoot unforeseen on-site challenges without sacrificing quality.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written abilities to act as a liaison between architects, engineers, project managers, and the client.
- Tech Proficiency: Competency in using modern construction project management software and digital tracking tools
- Time Management: Ability to schedule tasks effectively and oversee multiple complex job sites simultaneously to meet rigid deadlines.
- Negotiation: Skill in reconciling differences between trades, negotiating subcontractor agreements, and resolving disputes.
- Systems Analysis: Ability to evaluate how changes in weather, supply chains, or site conditions impact overarching project goals
