Project Assistant

The Department of Family and Community Services, Office of Children's Services (OCS) is recruiting for a full-time Project Assistant located in Juneau, Alaska. What you will be doing Under general supervision of the Social Services Program Coordinator, the Project Assistant assists the unit by providing direct support and works on projects of various magnitude including but not limited to the oversight of the Social Security benefits and complex care as it relates to children in foster care.

This position assumes a large responsibility for the training of field staff regarding proper processes, and is responsible for development of training materials, evaluation of project activities, tracking, and preparation of statistics and spreadsheets.

Working environment you can expect This position is located in the Goldstein Building in beautiful downtown Juneau. We are surrounded by fantastic views of mountains, the Gastineau Channel, and are conveniently located near many restaurants and stores for easy access to lunch and shopping. We are also located near the Downtown Transit Center, if taking the bus is your preferred method of travel.

Special Note All positions require valid  successful completion of a background investigation, including fingerprinting and a criminal records check. The successful candidate may be required to attend multiple training courses normally located in Anchorage.
