Customer Service Specialist (Intermediate)
As a Customer Service Specialist, you will become an integral part of our quality‑driven team. Customer Service Reps are held to a high standard and must be able to multi‑task without compromising quality. The successful candidate will respond to a variety of telephone inquiries on a variety of issues using exceptional customer service daily.
Responsibilities- Respond to inbound caller inquiries about general claim or benefit questions and status requests, focusing on quality and first call resolution.
- Work with clients in a consultative manner in accordance with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
- Negotiate with customers to resolve account matters.
- Maintain and notate all appropriate information and documentation on customer accounts.
- Process calls from internal team members with inquiries on benefits or policies.
- Maintain accounts and update information in various databases.
- Provide an explanation of programs, benefits, and policies.
- Track the reason for each call to ensure successful resolution.
- Work together as both team member and individual contributor in a goal‑oriented environment to meet individual and team targets.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years Customer Service experience.
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good listening skills and high degree of accuracy required.
- Self‑starter, requiring little or minimal supervision.
- Must be able to handle multi‑faced tasks.
- Ability to resolve difficult or pressure situations with minimal supervision.
- Customer service experience, contact center experience preferred.
- Insurance experience preferred.
- Fort Worth, TX
- Or Evansville, IN
