What you will be doing:
Join our Alaska Vital Records Team and contribute to key moments in the lives of your fellow Alaskans. Your role will be pivotal in helping Alaskans obtain birth, death, and marriage certificates by registering these major life events. This position is also responsible for reviewing documentation for accuracy and directly assisting Alaskans by email and over the phone to guide applicants through the process.

This position is located on Commercial Boulevard near Juneau's Costco. We have private parking and are within walking distance to the bus line. Nearby amenities include coffee shacks, a general store, gas stations, and restaurants. The working environment is positive, professional, constructive, and detail-oriented. Our small team works out of the office Monday through Friday.

is committed to providing quality products and services. - Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving: Uses a logical, systematic, and sequential approach to address problems or opportunities or manage a situation by drawing on one’s knowledge and experience base and calling on other references and resources as necessary.
- Written Communication: Writes in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience.
High school diploma or the equivalent. AND One year of experience that includes clerical tasks such as greeting clients, answering phones, typing, filing, sorting mail, entering data, receiving payments, making change, or maintaining logs.
Substitution:
Education from an accredited college may substitute for the required experience (3 semester hours or 4 quarter hours equal one month of experience; 150 hours of vocation education equal one month of experience).
Note:
"High school diploma equivalent" means one of the following:
1) a G.E.D.;
2) completion of any basic adult education course equivalent to 480 class hours (16 weeks at 30 course hours per week);
