Aquatic Attendant

The Dimond Park Aquatic Center is hiring!

We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with the public and understand the importance of aquatics in our community. This job can be fast paced, dealing with a large influx of customers during busy open swims, but also has down time where employees will be expected to tidy and organize their work area.

• Aquatic staff enjoy flexibility in staffing as well as a complimentary pool pass for the employee.

This position works out of the Dimond Park Aquatic Center. Hours vary as the facility is open seven days a week opening as early as 5:30am and closing after 8pm.

The main duties of this position include:

• Monitoring and assurance of guest safety and satisfaction during party activities
• Enforcement of safety rules
• Monitoring and control traffic on the water slides to maintain safety
• Monitoring slide user height to insure safe practices are maintained
• Providing first aid as required
• Cash handling and maintaining/rectifying a cash drawer
• Using a computer to operate the point of sales software
• Answering phones, directing calls and/or taking messages
• Functioning as a slide attendant monitoring the height of guests wishing to use the water slides and enforcing safe operation rules
• Assisting guests in obtaining first aid
• Being knowledgeable of department operations and assisting guests with questions about the pool schedule, programs and making reservations
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the lobby area, lost and found items, and event rooms and assisting with the setup and cleanup of the event rooms before and after reservations

Other:

• Must obtain First Aid and CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
