We are looking for a friendly, caring, and upbeat Dental Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent patient care. Experience is preferred, especially in pediatric dentistry, but we are willing to train the right candidate who is motivated and looking for a long‑term position.

Juneau Pediatric Dentistry is a modern, private pediatric dental practice dedicated to providing the highest quality dental care in Southeast Alaska. We specialize in treating infants, children, teens, and patients with special healthcare needs. Our team is passionate about helping children develop a lifetime of healthy smiles and positive dental habits. We are proud of our supportive team culture and invest heavily in training and developing our staff.

Responsibilities
  • Set up operatories and prepare for dental procedures
  • Assist the dentist during exams and operative procedures
  • Obtain radiographs and intraoral scans
  • Seat patients and verify proper consent prior to treatment
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including operative notes and charting diagnoses
  • Provide post‑operative care instructions to families
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
  • Restock treatment areas and assist with inventory
Qualifications
  • Friendly and professional demeanor
  • Comfortable working with children and families
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced team environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • BLS / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
