This role includes conducting histories and physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, providing medical treatments and advanced procedures within scope of practice, prescribing medications, and making referrals to specialty care as appropriate.

Care is delivered to patients with co‑occurring medical and behavioral health conditions in an ambulatory and residential setting. What You’ll Do:
  • Provide comprehensive diagnosis, evaluation, and management of acute and chronic medical and behavioral health conditions, including medication management and ongoing treatment planning.
  • Obtain detailed patient histories, perform physical and psychiatric assessments, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and perform minor procedures within scope of practice.
  • Prescribe, adjust, and monitor medications for acute, chronic, and behavioral health conditions, including routine medication checks and evaluation of treatment effectiveness and side effects.
  • Respond to urgent, emergency, and crisis situations by conducting assessments, providing stabilization, and following established emergency and crisis response protocols.
  • Coordinate care with the Integrated Treatment Team and external providers to ensure continuity of care across inpatient, outpatient, residential, correctional, and community‑based settings.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment options, health maintenance, and recovery supports, promoting shared decision‑making and self‑management.
  • Deliver culturally competent, trauma‑informed, and patient‑centered care, including preventive services, health promotion, and referrals to supportive and rehabilitative services.
What You Bring:
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program (Master's Degree preferred).
  • Five years experience as a PA.
  • One year of experience in a Psychiatric Physician Assistant role.
