Position: Business and Public Administration Adjunct Pool (2025-2026)

Position Summary

The Department of Business and Public Administration at the University of Alaska Southeast, School of Arts & Sciences, is accepting applications for adjunct faculty members for the upcoming academic year . Experience, education, and or certification is required in Management, Human Resources, Non-Profit Organizations, Public Administration, International Business, or related business fields. This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking professional teaching experience who have a passion for educating others in a specific subject.

Responsibility

A successful candidate should encompass the following skills and abilities:

  • Ability to teach effectively in an online environment.
  • Knowledge of accepted instructional methods.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Familiar with computer and other technologies for instruction, such as Blackboard.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Terminal degree (or its equivalent) as defined by the academic unit and as appropriate for the position held.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in the field or courses to be taught.
Preferred Experience

Teaching experience in different modalities – face-to-face, hybrid, online synchronous and online asynchronous, as well as ability to use technology to support teaching and learning.

Position Details

This is a temporary faculty position. Salary is based on the number of previous semesters teaching experience within the University of Alaska.
