Position SummaryThis position is a good opportunity for anyone who enjoys teaching middle school level Physical Education. The individual will promote a learning environment that enables each student to master the skills appropriate to age, grade level and individual capacity.
Minimum Requirements- Valid Alaska teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in education
- Master's degree in education preferred
- Experience teaching at the middle school level
- Experience or ability to work with instructional technology is highly desirable
- Experience working with team teaching, integrated content and project‑based assessment
- Previous experience working on a team in a professional learning community
Salary is dependent on experience and education. The Juneau School District offers a competitive salary. We also offer an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision and the Teachers Retirement System (TRS) plan.
