This position is in the Alaska Vocational Technical Teacher's Unit (AVTECTA).

Alaska Vocational Technical Center (AVTEC), a Division of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, is recruiting for a Maritime Instructor. This position will develop curriculum for approval by the United States Coast Guard. This position develops training material and maintains equipment used for maritime courses. Additional duties may include advising students with merchant mariner credential applications, simulator operations and outreach activities for rural communities.

• Education and Training:
  Knowledge of teaching, training, research, making presentations, lecturing, testing, and other instructional methods.
