This is a long-term substitute position for the school year, with the possibility of continued employment. For Spring 2026 the district will provide travel to and from duty station, and housing.
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of B.A. degree. Alaska Teacher certification in specified subject area in which employed. Standards-based instruction experience preferred.

JOB GOALNome Public Schools recognizes a teacher as a person whose prime function is to communicate knowledge with special methods and completeness for the development of physical, mental, and moral growth of the students served. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES- Adequate classroom preparation demonstrated in lesson plans
- Constructive classroom management
- Varied instructional and evaluative techniques
- Identification of individual differences
- Understands developmental levels and implement communication appropriate developmental practices
188-day year with salary and other conditions of employment to be established by the Superintendent and the School Board.
