Associate Teacher

Job Description

Prepares and teaches lessons as assigned. Organizes existing materials and creates new materials to help students meet learning objectives. Evaluates, assesses, and assigns grades to student work as appropriate. Maintains a positive atmosphere for learning within the classroom. Performs non‑instructional duties such as supervising snack, restroom, and clothing routines; play periods; lunch periods; assemblies and field trips. Participates in in‑service training programs.

Checks and records student attendance. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students and fellow employees. Demonstrates responsibility and a positive attitude toward students and colleagues. Works collaboratively with other instructional personnel. Maintains classroom student records and folders. Performs other duties as assigned.
