Montessori Borealis (Dzantik'i Heeni Building). Part time position (.25 FTE).

Spanish Teacher responsible for full implementation and teaching of a Montessori multi‑grade adolescent classroom. Will work cooperatively with school staff to implement a cohesive program, including program description, diversity plan and program evaluation in line with district policy and school board direction. Will support Montessori education for parents, teaching staff and administration.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in education.
• Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) training and certification/diploma for grades 1‑6. Provide a copy of your diploma with your application or indicate the year received and institution.
• Valid Alaska teaching certificate with Spanish endorsement, or closely related field.

• Master's degree in education.
• Experience teaching at the middle school level.
• Experience teaching middle school Spanish.
• Experience teaching in an AMI Montessori environment and working with parents, parent boards, school boards, and administration.
• Experience in team or cooperative teaching.
