Position Overview
The University of Alaska Southeast School of Career Education is seeking adjunct faculty for teaching various courses within the program. Course load varies based on student enrollment, and opportunities may arise throughout the academic year.
ResponsibilitiesInstruction: Deliver course content in the instructor’s field and provide mentoring, advising, and academic assistance to students.
Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness and stay current with industry trends and advancements.
Experience: Previous teaching experience, particularly in vocational or technical education settings, is highly desirable.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
Commitment: Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment and collaborating with colleagues, industry partners, and stakeholders.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the subject field.
Location:
UAS campus in Juneau. Part‑time, temporary adjunct faculty. Pooled position; applications reviewed as needed. The position is union represented.
