SummarySubstitute positions include teachers, teacher assistants, and clerical positions. Full- and half-day assignments are available. School preferences will be given high consideration.
CompensationThis is an on-call as needed 9-month position, working variable days and hours. This is a non-permanent non-benefitted position.
PayPay for substitute teachers and support staff is as follows (per day based on a 7.5 hour work-day):
- Certificate of Substitute – High School Diploma: $20/hr
- Certificate of Substitute – Four-Year Degree: $25/hr
Selected applicants will be fingerprinted and fingerprints forwarded to Alaska State Troopers and the FBI for a criminal background check.
