DHH Teacher | Juneau, Alaska

A full-time Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students is needed for the  school year in Juneau, Alaska. This contract position runs from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with a schedule typically between 8 AM and 4 PM, totaling 37.5 hours a week. The role involves working onsite across multiple grade levels, supporting a caseload of approximately 10 students ranging from 1st to 12th grade.

• Provide specialized instruction and support to deaf and hard of hearing students.
• Develop individualized education plans tailored to each student's needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to enhance student learning.
• Monitor and report on student progress regularly.
• Travel onsite as needed within the district to serve students effectively.

• Must hold a current Alaska teaching license.
• Required Type C certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education; pending licensure will be considered with proof.
• Experience working with students across a broad range of grade levels is preferred.
• Strong communication and assessment skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
