Our Music Academy is looking for a caring instructor who can teach piano, guitar, or voice. We are one of LA’s largest private music schools and are dedicated to cultivating an exceptional environment for music education. We offer group classes and private lessons, and we provide the necessary support—marketing, scheduling, and resources—so that you can focus on teaching.

Responsibilities
  • Teach private music lessons and group classes to students of all skill levels both on‑site and off‑site
  • Teach on location at The Music Academy and at local schools
Qualifications
  • Strong musical skills and knowledge of music theory
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outgoing personality and passion for music instruction
  • Nurturing and supportive teaching approach
  • 8–10 years of teaching experience, including with kids and adults
  • Experience teaching groups
  • Must have a reliable car
  • Commit to teaching your current schedule for a minimum of two years
  • Positive attitude during instruction, encouraging students to address weaknesses and build on strengths
  • Availability to teach 2‑3 days a week, 3‑8pm, including Saturdays 9am‑2pm or Sundays 9am‑2pm
  • Timely and reliable to ensure consistency in lessons
Job Details

Part‑time position; expected hours 10–18 per week; hourly pay $40.00–$47.00. Office located in‑person with 4‑hour or 8‑hour shifts and weekend availability as needed.
