What you will be doing:
  • Coordinating Inter Library Loan services to rural Alaska libraries, mainly using OCLC Worldshare ILL software.
  • Provide intake, point of contact, basic management of Alaska Remote Resident Digital Library Pilot program, which provides access to the Alaska Digital Library for Alaska residents not eligible for a public library card.
  • Limited reference service to rural Alaska libraries.
  • Coordinate Alaska Talking Book Program.
  • Work with Alaska State Library Information Services team and Alaska State Library Development team in the planning and goal setting of diverse services to Alaska libraries.

This position is based at the Andrew P. Kashevaroff Building in downtown Juneau, which we share with our colleagues in the Division of Libraries, Archives and Museums. With dedicated parking and an onsite café, the building boasts extraordinary views of the Gastineau Channel and surrounding mountains, easy access to year-round outdoor and cultural activities, and the University of Alaska Southeast just a few miles away.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited college in library or information science, media services, or a closely related field.
