Engineer/Architect 2/3 (PCN 252315) in Juneau, AK. The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Southcoast Region Construction is seeking an Engineer/Architect 2/3 to serve as Construction Project Manager for regional capital improvement projects (roads, bridges, airports, marine facilities).
What you will be doingEngineer/Architect 2:
Under the direction of the Southcoast Region Construction Group Chief, acts as a Construction Project Manager for regional capital improvement projects. Projects may include roads, bridges, airports and marine facilities. As a Construction Project Manager, supervises and directs a staff of subordinate engineers and technicians to ensure that small to medium-scale construction projects conform to contract plans and specifications, applicable state and federal requirements, and are within budgetary constraints.
Engineer/Architect 3:

As Construction Project Manager, independently supervises and directs a staff of subordinate engineers and technicians to ensure that large-scale construction projects conform to contract plans and specifications and to applicable state and federal requirements and are completed within budgetary constraints.

Working environmentThis position is based out of DOT&PF s Southcoast Region office in Juneau. Travel to project sites throughout the region is necessary for project site visits, open houses with the public, and professional training. A hybrid telework option may be arranged.
QualificationsEngineer/Architect 2:
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect, and one year of professional experience as an Engineer/Architect 1 or Engineering Associate with the State of Alaska, or the equivalent. Special note:
Persons not registered in Alaska must be registered in a state recognized by the State Board for comity and must become registered in Alaska within one year of hire.
Engineer/Architect 3:
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect, and three years of professional engineering or architectural experience (Engineer/Architect series), or the equivalent. Special note: as above regarding comity and Alaska registration within one year of hire.

- Valid driver s license required.
- Position requires registration as a Professional Engineer or Architect in Alaska (within one year if not already registered).
