The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Southcoast Region Construction is looking for an Engineering Assistant 3 in Juneau to help us Keep Alaska Moving!

What you will be doing

This position functions as a Southcoast Region Construction division Project Engineer. As the Department's designated representative for construction contract administration, the incumbent is responsible for the inspection, acceptance, and payment of work performed on one or more active construction projects of average to above average complexity.

The Working Environment You Can Expect

This position is located in Juneau. This position reports to the DOT&PF Southcoast Region 7-mile office located in Juneau, Alaska. The Southcoast Region encompasses Southeast and Southwest Alaska, including the Aleutian Chain. Working at the DOT&PF offers a uniquely challenging and rewarding environment. With Alaska's diverse and expansive terrain, coupled with its extreme weather conditions, employees of the DOT&PF can work in various locations during active construction, including remote locations and urban centers, while addressing a wide range of transportation needs.
