Airport Engineer/Architect

Juneau International Airport (JNU) is seeking a permanent, a part-time Airport Engineer/Architect to join their energetic team of professionals helping shape the future of the airport.

This Engineering/Architectural Assistant II - Engineer/Architect I position is flexibly staffed. The level of the job offer will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications. If hired at the lower level, the successful applicant will be promoted to the higher level upon meeting the minimum qualifications for the higher level, completing the training plan and demonstrating competency in the work as determined by the supervisor.

Under general direction of the Airport Architect/Engineer, provides technical and logistical support for airport planning, design, and construction. This part-time position provides essential depth to Airport design and construction administration.

• Creates, manages, and maintains projects office files at all project stages.

Working Hours And Location

This position is part-time, working 15 hours per week. The position is based at Juneau International Airport and generally performs work during regular office hours Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m.– 4:30 p.m. The shift schedule would be determined upon hire by the Airport Manager based on the needs of the Airport design and construction team. Work hours may vary to coordinate with project requirements.
