Tax Manager - Internal Partner​/Individual Tax team

Job Description

Baker Tilly (BT) is seeking a Tax Manager - Individual Tax Services to provide US individual tax services to BT Partners. This internal position focuses on tax preparation, planning, and consulting and offers a balanced work schedule.

• Provide compliance and consulting services to BT Partners, including:
  • Perform technical review of complex individual tax returns and supporting documents.
  • Lead multiple engagements that deliver proactive tax planning and strategic consulting.
  • Apply technical developments to complex situations to grow competence.
• Invest in professional development through individual effort and participation in firm‑wide learning programs.
• Support the growth and development of team members via the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, law, or a related business discipline (Master’s or advanced degree desirable).
• CPA required.
• Five (5)+ years of experience in tax return review and planning for high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Multi‑state individual tax compliance experience, including composite, withholding, and pass‑through entities.
• Experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm.
• Two (2)+ years of supervisory experience; mentoring and counseling associates preferred.
• Strong management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
• Highly developed CCH Axcess, PDFlyer, and Microsoft Suite skills.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.

Pay ranges:

• National range: $72,000 – $143,240
• California: $78,000 – $186,220
