The Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation (APFC), recognized as a world‑class organization and consistently ranked as one of the best places to work by Pensions & Investments magazine, is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Investments Intern to join our team. Eligibility Requirements- Must be an Alaska resident attending school in any state or enrolled at a post‑secondary institution in Alaska.
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, mathematics, or a related field. Preference given to juniors and seniors.
- Recent graduates earning a bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply if graduation occurred within six months of the application close date

- Academic Performance:
Cumulative GPA of 3.0. - Experience with the Microsoft Windows platform, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Aptitude for learning new software programs, superb analytical and organizational skills
- Effective communication and written skills are highly desired.
- Initiative and curiosity to learn across departments.
- Adaptability to work independently or in team settings.
- Interest in financial markets, investment management, and public funds.
As an Investments Intern, you will work with the Chief Investment Officer and their analyst to work on total fund matters around asset allocation and portfolio analysis. In addition, you will gain exposure to various investment asset classes, including Private Equity, Fixed Income, Real Estate, Public Equities, Private Income and Risk and Compliance. Some responsibilities may include assisting in the development of asset class dashboard reporting, optimizing databases, and utilizing premier investment systems such as Bloomberg and Black Rock.
You will deliver a presentation summarizing your experience and contributions at the conclusion of the program.
Pay: $25.00 per hour undergraduate level
Duration: 12‑13 weeks with flexible start and end dates to accommodate academic schedules.
Location:
APFC Headquarters located in Juneau, Alaska.
Travel:
One round‑trip airfare to Juneau provided by APFC.
Housing:
Interns are responsible for securing their own accommodation. Housing can be discussed with APFC Human Resources to connect students with resources if needed.
