Job Description

Res. The role is based on site at the Division of Investments headquarters in downtown Juneau, Alaska.
As a Loan Closer/Processor you will bring a loan from "approved" to "fully executed" with precision, confidence, and an unwavering commitment to accuracy. You will transform complex requirements into clean, compliant closings that protect public funds and strengthen Alaska’s economic future.
Your work directly supports Alaska’s businesses, communities, and industries by ensuring lending programs operate with integrity and excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and finalize loan closing packages across multiple state lending programs
- Coordinate with borrowers, title companies, lenders, attorneys, and internal staff to ensure all closing conditions are satisfied
- Verify collateral documentation, insurance requirements, UCC filings, and legal instruments prior to disbursement
- Safeguard loan fund assets by ensuring every closing meets regulatory, procedural, and documentation standards
This is a flex position. Begin at Level 1 and grow into Level 2 as you gain experience and skills. You can complete the training program without having to re‑apply for a new job.

Loan Closer/Processor 1 - Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of experience performing a variety of office clerical assignments of average difficulty.
- Completion of post‑secondary coursework from an accredited institution may substitute for the required experience (3 semester or 4 quarter hours = 1 month).
Loan Closer/Processor 2 - Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of experience in lending, banking, real estate, title insurance or a closely related field.
- OR completion of the training program for Loan Closer/Processors at the Division of Investments substitutes for education and experience requirements.
- College coursework in business, finance, economics, public administration or related field may substitute accordingly (1 semester or 1.3 quarter = 1 month).
