Sr Financial Reporting Analyst
Salary Range: $77,100 - $115,700 per year. The salary is based on national‑average location and may vary based on experience, skills, and location. This position is bonus eligible.
Responsibilities- Prepare periodic GAAP financial statements for the consolidated entity, including balance sheet, income statement, roll forward of shareholders' equity and cash flows with appropriate eliminations for intercompany transactions.
- Prepare journal entries, elimination entries and reconciliations that provide adequate audit evidence.
- Provide documentation and analysis that supports the needs of the Manager and identify potential issues for review.
- Assist in providing commentary to explain significant fluctuations between actual results for current and prior year for several nonlife entities.
- Prepare financial information for the renewal of TPA licenses in several states.
- Prepare budget and forecast information related to equity‑based compensation.
- Prepare 10‑Q/10‑K disclosures related to equity‑based compensation and per‑share information; also prepare Parent‑Company only financial statements for the 10‑K.
- Review and provide equity‑based compensation information for executive management to the legal department in connection with the preparation of the proxy statement.
- Help accumulate accounting and financial information.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a strong internal control environment meeting SOX objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Three years of experience in a Financial Reporting Analyst position.
- Professional experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- CPA or CPA in progress strongly preferred.
- Prior Insurance Accounting experience highly preferred but not required.
- Experience with HFM (Hyperion) system.
