The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), Division of Army National Guard (ARNG)

is recruiting for a Planner 3!

This position is in the Supervisor (SU) bargaining unit at a range 19. This SU Planner 3 position may be eligible for a salary range Supervisory Differential, up to range 20. This is the responsibility of the incumbent to request via the APEA Association. Approval is subject to DOP discretion, per SU CBA 24.11 and in accordance with AS 39.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Army National Guard’s Planner 3, you will work under the general direction of the Division Director and in coordination with the Federal Partner and Chief Facilities Management Officer to provide master and area planning for the ARNG.

This is a dual‑role position that also serves as a supervisor for up to five (5) State employees. You will oversee and coordinate planning activities, facility leasing, anti‑terrorism/force protection, energy management, and Installation Status Reporting (ISR), while also serving as the State Master Planner.

You will perform critical functions by making recommendations related to real property and real estate actions involving Alaska National Guard–owned or leased buildings, facilities, and land. You will establish suspense dates and ensure tasks are completed within required timelines.
