ATTENTION ALL ALASKA RESIDENTS! The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Data Modernization & Innovation Office (DMIO) is looking for a Transportation Planner 2 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!

Depending on the selected applicant, this position can be filled in Juneau, Fairbanks, or Anchorage. Salary information is listed below:

Juneau: $3,964.80 / Biweekly

Fairbanks: $3,889.60 / Biweekly

Anchorage: $3,776.00 / Biweekly

What You Will Be Doing
  • Lead and coordinate department-wide initiatives that improve business processes, data management, technology use, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Bring together staff from across the Department to identify challenges, evaluate options, and develop solutions to complex business and operational issues.
  • Analyze existing processes and workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and help teams implement practical changes that support better outcomes.
  • Build relationships across program areas, facilitate collaboration, and help move initiatives from planning and discussion to implementation.
  • Develop standards, guidance, and documentation that support consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement across the Department.
