Grants Administrator 3 (PCN 051711

This professional position administers federal and state grants awarded to sub-grantees including universities, state agencies, local educational agencies, and non-profit organizations within the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development's Child Nutrition Programs Division. The role involves fiscal and programmatic oversight of 50 grant programs comprising over 230 sub-grants, handling multi-year and complex grants that cross federal and state fiscal years.

The position works independently and collaboratively to ensure compliance with federal and state statutes and regulations while supporting the department's mission of providing excellent education and ensuring students have access to healthy, nutritious food.

• Knowledge of federal funds processing, direct and reimbursable program funds, grants, loans, and credit programs
• Knowledge of accounting practices including accrual, obligations, and costs methods
• Knowledge of grants management requirements, practices, and procedures for soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and administering grants
• Problem solving and analytical thinking with logical, systematic approach to address problems
• Technical credibility in understanding specialized principles, procedures, requirements, and regulations
• Any combination of education and experience in accounting, grants administration, budget administration, or related administrative support
