WhatYou Will Be Doing
In this role, you will play a key part in supporting program operations by managing a variety of service closures, such as when individuals no longer have Medicaid, a PCA agency or worker, a Care Coordinator, or when they move out of state, decline services, or transition to long‑term care. You will process change‑of‑status communications for the department, including updates to PCA providers, Care Coordinators, hospital admissions and discharges, legal representative details, recipient demographics, living situations, marital status, and address changes.
Daily responsibilities include monitoring Direct Service Messaging (DSM) for legal discovery requests related to mediations and fair hearings and responding promptly. You will communicate regularly with legal representatives, clients, Care Coordinators, PCA agencies, supervisors, and managers through phone and electronic channels. Additionally, you will assist with mail processing, including operating mail equipment, printing, monitoring the department’s secure mailbox, and handling returned mail by contacting agencies, clients, and Care Coordinators to resolve address issues.

This location is located in Anchorage, Alaska. Team members and supervisors are located at 1835 Bragaw Street, Suite 350, Anchorage, Alaska. This position is scheduled for a 7.5‑hour workday; start and stop time can be flexible between the hours of 7 am and 5:30 pm. Hybrid Telework is possible with this position after training and approval from the Division Director.
