. Bartlett Regional Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Rehabilitation Services team.

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) shall provide selected physical therapy interventions only under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist. The PTA uses exercise and modalities in the treatment of pain and movement disorders to help restore normal movement and function in accordance with the physician's referral.

The Physical Therapy Assistant may be asked to be trained in other settings or skillsets including but not limited to: inpatient acute care, outpatient adult care, outpatient pediatrics, wound care, Home Health Care, and skilled nursing.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an APTA approved School for Physical Therapy Assistants. Completes annual educational requirements.
• Preferred Experience:
  
  One (1) year of PTA experience. Experience with diverse populations including inpatient acute care, outpatient adult care, outpatient pediatrics, wound care, Home Health Care, and skilled nursing.
• License:
  Current State of Alaska Physical Therapy Assistant License
• Other:
  Valid driver’s license, current auto liability insurance and reliable transportation if assigned to Home Care Services.
• Certifications:
  
  Refer to Mandatory Education Policy and complete the required items within the given timeframe.

Internal/External Hires
:
Pay rate details based on applicable personnel rules or union contract terms; external hires start at $31.75 per hour with step placement based on experience.

• Practice Notice:
  All new employees are required to produce a negative drug screen for all illegal substances in the State of Alaska prior to the start of employment.
