The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant will have the opportunity to deliver meaningful behavioral health services to a diverse patient population while enjoying a supportive team, strong autonomy, and life in one of Alaska’s most scenic, community-focused regions.

The new $300 million Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center opened in Sitka, April 2026 and in 2021 we opened the $30 million Wrangell Medical Center, located in Wrangell. With plans to build a third critical-access hospital in Haines. In addition to the dozens of established outpatient and traveling clinics throughout the region.

Salary: $155,000 - $175,000 based on years of experience, with wRVU incentives. Financial incentives: $30,000 Sign-on bonus and $20,000 Relocation assistance with a three year commitment. Healthcare benefits:

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with four hours of administrative time. Call

Practice setting: 100% outpatient behavioral health clinic in Juneau Patient volume: 6–7 patients per day (30–32 weekly) Telehealth services:
Integrated; in‑person for local patients, virtual care for regional communities Patient population:
Primarily adults (optional exposure to pediatrics with existing child psychiatry support). Technology & tools:
Medi Tech EMR, Dragon dictation, and a new AI behavioral health scribe tool.

Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with psychiatric experience Minimum of 2 years of mental health experience or relevant prior training Ability to practice independently in a variety of behavioral health settings Current or eligible Alaska licensure National certification (NP or PA) required BLS certification required.
