This position is open to All Applicants. The level (I, II, III, or IV) will be determined by the applicant's qualifications and job experience. This position is exempt from the Hiring Freeze.
What you will be doingJoin a dynamic and diverse team responsible for maintenance and enhancements to the Department of Health's Enterprise Applications, including our enterprise service bus, database work, and development projects. This is a small, collaborative team working closely on a variety of technologies with many opportunities for cross-training and professional growth.

Minimum QualificationsAnalyst/Programmer I
Successful completion of nine (9) semester hours of college-level coursework in computer languages or system analysis. OR Three months of actual computer programming experience. OR One year of work experience using a computer for analysis, including experience in the use of computer reporting languages, spreadsheets, or statistical packages.

Note:
An applicant who will complete the required college-level coursework within three (3) months of hire qualifies to apply. An applicant qualifying under this option may receive a job offer conditional upon completion of the required coursework with proof of completion required prior to final appointment and reporting for duty. Individual positions at each level may require expertise in a particular area of programming or analysis.
Recruitment and selection will be based on these requirements. For some positions, a background investigation including fingerprinting is required.
Analyst/Programmer II
One year of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language. One year of the experience must have been in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer or computer system user support specialty.
Analyst/Programmer III
Two years of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language. One year of this experience must be in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer or computer information management support specialty.
