The Department of Family & Community Services is recruiting for a Microcomputer/Network Technician 1/2 in Juneau! This position is open to Alaska Residents only. Please check the residency definition to determine if you qualify.
What You Will Be DoingUnder the direction of the Division of Departmental Support Services (DSS) Section of Information Technology, Customer Service (IT/CS), the Microcomputer/Network Technician position is responsible for providing technical support customer service for all DFCS employees. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, and resolving hardware and software IT issues, and documenting and tracking resolutions through Web Help Desk (WHD), the primary DFCS IT ticketing system.

The Working Environment You Can ExpectThis position's primary workplace will be in Juneau; offering several restaurants, coffee shops and seaside views all within walking distance. DFCS is a dynamic enterprise consisting of a team that is a diverse, highly technical, and collaborative group which embraces, implements, and supports the latest technologies to provide the best operational capabilities and resources to DFCS. We are customer focused and project oriented.
You may be required to travel for this position to other areas of the State of Alaska, roughly 1-2 times per year. The length of these trips are approximately 3–4 days.
