What You Will Be Doing
As an Analyst/Programmer 5, you will supervise a team of developers involved in database management, systems integration, and application development. You will participate in or direct others in application lifecycle management activities, using established industry project management best practices along with departmental guidelines and tools. Additionally, you will assist customers in defining system requirements and designing production systems.

Languages:
Knowledge of computer languages and their applications to enable a system to perform specific functions. - Configuration Management: Knowledge of the principles and methods for planning or managing the implementation, update, or integration of information systems components.
- Developing Others: Develops the ability of others to perform and contribute to the organization by providing ongoing feedback and by providing opportunities to learn through formal and informal methods.
Six (6) years of computer programming experience, of which at least two (2) years were at the project leader or systems design level. Two (2) years of experience must have been in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer, or computer information management support specialty. The specialized experience may be gained concurrently.
SubstitutionA bachelor’s degree with a major in Computer Science (CS) or Computer Information Systems (CIS), or a related degree with (18) semester/(24) quarter hours of CS or CIS may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience. An associate’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems may substitute for nine (9) months of the required experience in a specialty area.
There is no substitute for the systems analysis and design or project leadership experience.
An applicant who is considered under the substitution above qualifies to apply for this job class if the applicable coursework is completed within three (3) months of hire. Under this option, an applicant may receive a conditional job offer; however, proof of completion will be required prior to final appointment and reporting for duty.
