The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Program Management and Administration, is seeking a Microcomputer/Network Technician 1/2 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!

Pay by Location
  • Ketchikan: $26.66 - $30.62 (OT eligible)
  • Juneau: $27.99 - $32.15 (OT eligible)
What you will be doing

This Microcomputer/Network Technician (MNT) 1/2 position is responsible for providing a wide range of microcomputer support to department customers. The incumbent installs, maintains, and manages department microcomputer hardware and software.

MNT 1 Responsibilities

At the MNT 1 level, this entry‑level IT position is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving microcomputer and network hardware and software issues.

MNT 2 Responsibilities

At the MNT 2 level, this full‑proficiency IT position is responsible for advanced‑level troubleshooting and problem resolution for microcomputer and network hardware and software issues.

Working environment you can expect

The position may be filled in Juneau or Ketchikan. Once hired and trained, the position is appropriate for in‑state teleworking with supervisor approval. Employees work across Alaska’s diverse terrain, maintaining and improving roads, bridges, airports, ports, and public facilities.
