Business Subject Matter Specialist - Data Integrations Third Parties

Overview

Position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid.

The Business Subject Matter Specialist (SME) supports the maintenance, enhancement, and development of enterprise systems by analyzing business processes and providing actionable recommendations.

• Support system maintenance and development through business process review, documentation, and recommendations for modifications.
• Determine as-is business processes and procedures, document gaps, and recommend alternatives.
• Technical Project Management
  • Utilize project management tools to coordinate and plan development work.
  • Meet regularly with the technical lead team to report progress, set priorities, and coordinate requirements gathering.
  • Gather requirements.
  • Help develop timelines.
  • Ensure developers are available to develop software to meet those timelines.
  • Coordinate with the technical team for release scheduling.
• Data Integration Development
  • Java development using Spring Boot and REST APIs.
  • Java development projecting data into Pub/Sub topics.
  • Python and Quarto for developing tabular reports for the web.
  • Database design and business intelligence tooling for end users.

• Strong skills in process mapping, workflow analysis, and documentation.
• Ability to evaluate complex business processes and recommend practical improvements.

• 3-7 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or a related business systems role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
