Alaska resident status is required. This position is for an IT Client Support Specialist 2 in the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF). Pay will be based on location:
Ketchikan $30.62/hour and Juneau $32.15/hour (OT eligible).
Provide technological support services for the AK Marine Highway System. Troubleshoot, analyze, track, and resolve hardware and software issues across Windows desktop platforms, Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, VoIP phones, desktops, laptops, tablets, printers and MFPs, cabling, imaging, workstation configuration and deployment, and mobile devices. Work independently or under guidance of a Lead Specialist or Supervisor; partner with the DOT IS team, central OIT, and external service providers.
Engage users to identify root causes, enforce accurate incident logging, and maintain system documentation and inventory.

The role may be located in Ketchikan or Juneau and may include part‑time in‑state teleworking after supervisor approval. Employees work across diverse and often remote Alaskan locations, requiring adaptability to extreme weather and terrain.
