IT Business Analyst (PCN 064949) – Juneau, AK

Responsible for providing analysis and requirements to support information technology needs of the Division of Juvenile Justice. This position is open to Alaska Residents only.

The Division of Juvenile Justice is committed to providing young people throughout Alaska with probation, detention, and treatment services. With six youth facilities and 13 probation offices located across the state, the Division Director’s Office ensures that these services are administered with the utmost care and oversight. The Division’s focus on safety and quality assurance on a statewide level ensures that every young person in their care is given the opportunity to thrive.

• Coordinates the design, updating, enhancing, testing and training of DJJ staff on all DJJ applications.
• Works closely with the Data Processing Manager, user community, software vendor, JOMIS advisory Group and DJJ management as the subject matter expert for JOMIS and Incident Tracker applications.
• Coordinates and manages the JOMIS Advisory Group membership, sets meeting agendas, records minutes of the meetings, manages enhancements and tracks the budget.
• Coordinates communication via email, telephone, in person computer meetings, and written guidance to the DJJ application user community for issues related to system administration, data quality and accuracy, standardization, and adherence to division policies and procedures.
• Provides application information administrative assistance to the Data Processing Manager and Data Team.
• Manages the creation and updating of all user accounts and access privileges for DJJ applications and coordinates access for our justice partners in addition to DJJ personnel.
• Manages and responds to JOMIS Help Desk requests.

DJJ works to implement effective and appropriate juvenile justice practices through community supervision, secure facilities, programming, and administration. The DJJ Data Team plays a critical role in gathering and analyzing data to support the division's strategic planning and data driven decision-making by leaders and managers.

As a member of DJJ's State Office, you will be part of a team of 28 staff members from all over the state who are dedicated to improving services and implementing evidence-based programs that will benefit Alaska's youth. Please note, the Division of Juvenile Justice is not a remote or teleworking agency. Your workplace will be on the 7th floor of the Court Plaza on Main Street in downtown Juneau.
