Application Production Support

High level JD:

• 6+ years of experience in Application Production Support on Linux platform
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills
• Good experience in scripting – Shell, Automations
• Well versed with ITIL – Incident, Change, Release management
• Basic knowledge of Middleware technologies – Apache Tomcat
• Experience with application monitoring tools such as Splunk, App Dynamics, Grafana, Prometheus
• Experience with Auto Sys or other scheduling mechanisms
• Experience with Dev Ops CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, uDeploy
• Knowledge of Banking domain is preferable
• Basic knowledge of Database – Oracle SQL
• Good understanding of Infrastructure Technologies – Linux, Windows, MW, Database
• Good to have knowledge of Dev Ops, SRE, Automation, cloud

• Handle outage calls efficiently, triage any issues, and resolve them
• Do root cause analysis of repetitive and problem issues
• Report issues and resolve as per process and documentation
• Understand Incident Management System
• Work with APM tools and monitoring alerts, batch failures, Service Now queue, mailbox, etc.
• Analyze failures using APM tools and batch monitoring tools
• Types of job failures and troubleshooting (NAS, FTP failures)
• Basic web server administration and shell commands
• Linux administration basics
• ITIL processes
• Standard maintenance activities & SOP
• DB‑Oracle/MSSQL admin basics, basic networking commands
• Understand networking topology, load balancer, basic HTTP failures, Fiddler/Postman
• Understanding of support teams
