Job Objective:
Act as a subject matter expert for report writing, system upgrades, process enhancements, integrations, and testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Subject matter expert for data interactions between HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Leads in the review, testing and implementations of Payroll/HRIS integrations, upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and enhancements.
  • Analyze HRIS performance metrics and resolving application issues.
  • Responsible for and lead analytic reporting projects as assigned.
  • Support the payroll team of all payrolls analytic-related activities.
  • Performing application upgrades as well as providing training and technical support.
  • Developing, implementing, and optimizing HRIS processes for maximum efficiency.
  • Partners with the HRIS, Benefits, HR team and other stakeholders to optimize payroll processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Identifies gaps and inefficiencies and suggests solutions.
  • Research, analyze and provide resolutions for complex payroll issues including reconciliations, over payments, taxation, finance, and adjustments.
  • Documents processes, procedures, and testing results accordingly.
  • Maintain General Ledger setup.
  • Generate/prepare general ledger, salary and tax accrual reports, journal entries, and reconcile the payroll liability accounts to ensure accuracy of general ledger.
  • Assist in maintaining policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX documentation and audit requests.
  • Responsible for ongoing systems integration auditing to ensure accuracy between HRIS systems.
  • Responsible for month/quarter/year-end reporting activities.
Knowledge and Skills Required
  • 8+ years relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • CPP or FPC preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in HRMS systems, such as UKG, Workday, ADP, Dayforce.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional ability to gather and interpret data, as well as improve HRIS processes.
  • Successful ability to work in a fast paced environment under limited time constraints.
  • Must be proficient working with payroll systems that integrate with other systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal controls, etc.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of wage and hour laws.
  • Knowledge of general accounting and cost accounting.
  • Familiar with SOX internal controls.
Computer Skills
  • Multiple HRIS/Payroll Systems including UKG, Workday, ADP, etc.
  • UKG, ADP EV6, ADP Reporting, ADP Self Service, ADP Health and Welfare Service Engine, ADP General Ledger.
  • Dayforce experience preferred.
  • Workday Reporting/Integrations to payroll systems such as ADP, UKG.
  • Advanced working knowledge in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formulas) including Word and Outlook.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone, video conferences and in person.
  • Ability to act independently with sound judgment and take initiative.

  • Self-motivated and require minimal supervision.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Consistent attendance is required.

Physical/Mental Demands
  • The ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
  • The ability to perform under pressure and be flexible with disruptions throughout the workday.
  • Repetitive and continual keyboard activity and interaction with display monitors is required.
  • Overnight business travel by air and/or automobile may be required.
