We are seeking a senior Data Architect / Program Lead with strong experience designing and implementing large-scale cloud data environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in AWS data architecture, Data Mesh, data governance, ETL, and cloud-based data platforms
, along with experience leading and mentoring data engineering teams.

• Design and implement scalable data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and Data Mesh frameworks.

• Develop and maintain cloud-based data infrastructure using AWS and other cloud technologies.

• Design and implement ETL pipelines using AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Lake Formation, and Lambda
  .

• Develop and support domain-specific data products aligned with data architecture and governance standards.

• Establish and enforce data governance, privacy, access control, lineage, and data quality practices.

• Maintain data catalogs and automate governance workflows to improve data integrity and discoverability.

• Lead the implementation and ongoing support of Data Mesh architecture.

• Ensure availability, reliability, and operational support of data platforms.

• Promote Data Mesh principles and provide technical training to data stewards and users.

• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to align data architecture with organizational goals.

• Lead and mentor data engineering teams and support successful project execution.

• Work within Agile environments using Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Jira, and Confluence.

• 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture.

• Experience designing large-scale data lakes, data warehouses, and/or Data Mesh architectures.

• 5+ years of experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services, including:

  • S3

  • Redshift

  • Glue

  • Lake Formation

  • Lambda

• Experience with ETL pipeline design and implementation.

• Hands-on experience with Data Mesh architecture and data products.

• Strong knowledge of data governance, data lineage, access controls, privacy, and data catalogs.

• 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring data engineering teams.

• Strong stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.

• Experience working in Agile environments.

Active Secret Clearance or higher is REQUIRED.

Candidates must be able to support occasional onsite requirements in Clarksburg, WV
, including equipment pickup and in-person meetings when needed.

We are specifically looking for senior candidates with stable project histories and meaningful long-term engagements. Candidates with 1.5 2+ year project durations and genuine hands‑on Data Architecture, AWS, Data Mesh, and leadership experience are strongly preferred.

Candidates should be able to clearly explain their technical contributions and project experience during the interview.
