Position: Paralegal 1 (PCN 031028)

What You Will Be Doing

As a Paralegal, you will help community members directly impacted by crime, support victims and witnesses in understanding their rights, and assist the prosecution team in navigating the criminal justice system. You will provide updates throughout the life of a case and inform clients of available resources, building relationships with law enforcement, court personnel, and victim advocates.

Education & Experience

Post‑secondary education in a legal or legal‑support area is required. Equivalent experience may satisfy the minimum qualifications.

  • Experience preparing, reviewing, or processing legal documents such as affidavits, court reports, demand letters, and subpoenas.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to obtain a Notary Public upon hire.
  • Must pass a criminal background check for access to APSIN and NCIC/NLETS.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays as required.
  • Must tolerate exposure to graphic content and coarse language related to criminal cases.
