Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: Contracted Site (Background Clearance Required)
Compensation:Pay rates are determined by specific site contracts, the current rate for this site is $23.84 ($18.75 base pay, $5.09 health & welfare pay)

REACH Custodial Services is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and professional facilities through routine cleaning, floor care, restroom sanitation, waste removal, and building security tasks. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows established procedures, and works effectively with coworkers and facility personnel.

• Sweep, dust mop, vacuum, and maintain hard floor surfaces.
• Mop and auto-scrub floors as needed.
• Perform floor buffing, scrubbing, and waxing.
• Vacuum carpeted areas using designated equipment.
• Spot clean carpets using approved cleaning methods.
• Perform carpet extraction and encapsulation cleaning as needed.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms according to established procedures.
• Restock restroom supplies, including paper products and soap.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout the facility.
• Secure assigned areas by locking doors and windows after cleaning.

• Inspect custodial equipment and report maintenance or repair needs to a supervisor.
• Use cleaning supplies responsibly and notify supervisors when inventory is low.

• Maintain positive and professional relationships with coworkers, customers, and building personnel.
• Follow all agency, safety, and custodial policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with agency policies, federal and state laws, and contract requirements.
• Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
• Complete assigned tasks with a high level of quality and consistency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass an Alaska State Trooper background check.
• Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance.
• Custodial or janitorial experience preferred; one year of experience is highly desirable.
