Wage based on experience with $1.00/hr night premium when working from 6:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A sign‑on bonus of $1500.00.
Working hours:
40+ hours per week. Schedule may vary depending on projects and co‑workers vacation days. Cheese production is Monday to Friday with weekends dedicated for maintenance projects. Overtime is paid over 8-hour shifts.
Location:
Pollock, ND – small community on Lake Oahe, North and South Dakota border. Plant runs 24 hours, 5 days a week. Non-union, around 40 employees.
- Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of various systems within the plant.
- Monitor facility utility systems: boilers, refrigeration, compressed air, etc.
- Perform general maintenance tasks throughout the facility as assigned.
- Basic electrical knowledge of single and three‑phase.
- Basic experience with process logic controllers, variable frequency drives and HMI’s.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Basic knowledge to read drawings and flow diagrams.
- Perform daily and weekly housekeeping duties as assigned to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
- Follow company safety rules and use appropriate personal protection equipment (PPE) and safety gear.
- Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
- 2 years of demonstrated work experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on manufacturing and plant equipment, machinery, and controls is preferred but not limiting. Will train the right person.
- Experience in a Food Manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
- Self‑motivated individual able to follow instructions.
- Ability to work tasks to completion with little or no supervision, able to prioritize duties to meet team goals.
- Ability to work well with other plant employees.
- Attention to detail.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to work in plant environment.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
